United States men’s national team head coach Gregg Berhalter slimmed his team of 26 down to a traveling squad of 22 ahead of their friendly with Costa Rica on February 1st. The team has been training in Florida since a last minute decision was made to move the camp from Qatar, citing political issues. The team is in-route to California as of Saturday night.
Included in the updated squad is New York Red Bulls defenseman, Aaron Long. Long has made 16 appearances for the Stars and Stripes since his debut in October 2018, scoring three times.
