Hartford – Rolling with a seven match unbeaten streak, New York Red Bulls II make the short trip up to Dillon Stadium to face off against a improving Hartford Athletic side determined to put it to a end.
There was not much to speak of in the first half, with New York dominating the play with various chances, but the Athletic defense did well to hold their own in front of their supporters. However, in the 32nd minute, Sebastain Dalgaard found himself with the ball and launched a blistering shot past the outstretched hands of Evan Louro, to put the home side in front, 1-0.
But in the second half, fortunes changed for the worse for Hartford Athletic as Alex Davy picked up a red card for a reckless challenge in the box, followed by Raymond Lee picking up one for forcefully getting in referee Elton Garcia’s face in 53rd minute. However, Vincent Bezecourt skied the penalty kick over the net, negating his chance to equalize the match.
Finally, in the 65th minute, the Red Bulls with the two-man advantage, Sebastian Elney slotted home the equalizer for his 4th goal of the season with an assist by Bezecourt. Sean Nealis would then put New York ahead for good with his 3rd goal in 75th minute. The Red Bulls would tack on another as Vincent Bezecourt would own up for his penalty kick miss in the 82nd minute.
Janos Lobe would cap the scoring rush for New York with his first goal of the campaign, doing so in extra time
Match Milestones: In the 12th minute Chris Lema became the all-time player in minutes played surpassing Hassan Ndam with 4,316 minutes.

Jared scored his tenth goal of the season, bagging his 8th assist as John Wolynec’s side leapfrogged Tampa Bay for the top spot of the Eastern Conference.
