Cortez and Hot head to Concacaf U-15 championship

Red Bull Academy stand outs JC Cortez and Kenan Hot have been called up to the U-15 Boys National Team for the second ever U-15 Concacaf Championship.

JC Cortez is a defender who has spent time at both center back and left back. Cortez played up with the U-17 during the annual end of season showcase. Whether he is a CB or LB long term may be decided by his physical growth.

Kenan Hot joined the Red Bulls from PDA in the winter going on to start and play in 8 games for the U-15’s. He scored 6 goals in that time. He also spent time with the U-17’s including at the summer showcase where he scored a goal. Hot is best as a box to box midfielder but has played in defensive and offensive roles.

The tournament kicks off August 4th and will see the U-15’s face Haiti, Suriname and Guatemala in group play. This tournament is for regional bragging rights only as there is no world cup at this level. However, players involved in this team usually move on to become key members of the U-17 player pool.

Streaming info is not known at this time but in the past games have been streamed on facebook.
