(Harrison, NJ) New York Red Bulls have announced that they acquired Central Back Defender Amro Tarek from Orlando City SC. A fairly new addition to Orlando in 2018, Tarek started 19 times and came on once as a substitution. In return Orlando receives a 4th round pick in the 2019 SuperDraft.

In official press release Red Bulls Sporting Director Denis Hamlett said the following about the signing “We are pleased to add Amro to our club. He is a versatile defender with experience both in MLS and abroad, and he has qualities that we like. We look forward to Amro joining us for preseason camp and seeing how he fits with our team.”
Tarek has seen his fair share of playing abroad, starting out with FC Magdeburg U19. From there he’s made starts with various clubs such as; SC Freiburg II, Wolfsburg II. He also played in the Egyptian Premier League, with El Gouna, ENPPI, and Wadi Degla.
