Juventus were victorious in the 2018 MLS All-Star Game in Atlanta on penalties after their game against the MLS All-Stars ended 1-1 in 90 minutes. Aaron Long, Tyler Adams, Michael Murillo, and Bradley Wright-Phillips all represented the New York Red Bulls.
Four Red Bulls Feature as Juventus Claim Victory Over MLS All-Stars
Long, Adams, and Murillo all started for the All-yStars against Italian giants Juventus at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Juve opened in the 21st minute as Andrea Favilli headed in a cross past Brad Guzan. The All-Stars equalized five minutes later as Josef Martinez headed the ball into the net after a goalmouth scramble.
Adams left the game in the 32nd minute, replaced by LA Galaxy’s Jonathan dos Santos. Murillo and Long followed their teenage teammate out of the game in the second half without being injured. Wright-Phillips joined the action in the 62nd minute, entering in place for Sebastian Giovinco. Wright-Phillips missed the only penalty in the shootout for the All-Stars, allowing Juventus to win 5-3 on penalties.
