The on-load midfielder struggled to find time on the pitch this season thanks to Tyler Adams, Sean Davis, and Alejandro ‘Kaku’ Romero Gamarra’s strong performances this season. Rzatkowski waited patiently on the sidelines, and his patience was rewarded this past weekend.

Strong play in the Concacaf Champions League to start the season could not sustain Rzatkowski’s place in the starting lineup. Performances like Saturday’s cameo could see Rzatkowski earning more minutes in the future.

Team of the Week: Darwin Quintero (MIN), Dom Dwyer (ORL), Ignacio Piatti (MTL), Marc Rzatkowski (RBNY), Diego Chara (POR), Chris Pontius (LA), Alexander Callens (NYC), Reto Ziegler (DAL), Kortne Ford (COL), Sean Johnson (NYC)

Coach: Dome Torrent (NYC)

Bench: Tyler Miller (LAFC), Nouhou (SEA), Zoltan Stieber (DC), Jesus Medina (NYC), Jonathan Lewis (NYC), Romain Alessandrini (LA), Cory Burke (PHI)
